In this Training Audit, I'm joined by one of my Road to Detection Program students, Angela. She has two dogs, Dalton (Mini Schnauzer) and Candela (Doberman) that she has recently started in the sport of detection. For me, it was such an honor to have Angela join my program. I recall her timing for me when I judged a Doberman Club CKC scent trial and she wasn't sold on the sport! Of course, I was disappointed that someone just couldn't see all the awesomeness this sport had to offer...but fast forward two years, and here she is! Immersed in all things sport detection, and killing it, I might add! Angela and her partner, Maria, recently trialed both of their dogs and earned their SDDA Started-SP titles! I couldn't be more proud of them, and it's been so rewarding for me to watch Angela and Maria embrace this new sport.
